THE LAST STEP

Put Limona on your website.

Copy your unique snippet from the last step of setup. Add it to your site, publish, then check installation in Limona.

Choose your website platform.

WordPress
  1. Open your WordPress dashboard. Use your existing header/footer script tool or ask your website person to add a footer script.
  2. Paste the complete Limona snippet into the site-wide footer field. Save.
  3. Clear your site cache and open the public site in a new window.

WordPress.com needs a plugin-enabled plan with hosting features activated to run JavaScript. WordPress’s code guide.

Wix
  1. Open your site dashboard and go to Settings → Custom Code.
  2. Add code, paste your full Limona snippet, and name it “Limona”.
  3. Choose all pages and Body – end. Apply and publish your site.

Your site must support custom code; test the published site rather than the editor preview. Wix’s custom-code guide.

Squarespace
  1. Open your site’s Code Injection settings.
  2. Paste the complete Limona snippet into Footer. Save.
  3. Open your public site in a new window to check it.

Code injection depends on your Squarespace plan. Squarespace’s code-injection guide.

Shopify
  1. Ask your theme developer to add Limona, or duplicate your theme before editing it.
  2. Under Online Store → Themes, open Edit code, then Layout → theme.liquid.
  3. Paste the full snippet immediately before the closing </body> tag. Save and publish the tested theme.

This installs on your storefront, not checkout. Shopify’s theme-code guide.

A custom website

Paste the snippet just before </body> in the shared layout so it appears on every page. If your site limits outside scripts or connections, ask your developer to allow the Limona domain for both. Deploy your website update.

Someone else manages my site

In the Install step, click “Copy instructions for my website person”. Send that message to them. It includes your unique snippet and these instructions.

Check it is working.

  1. Return to Limona and click “Check installation & go live”.
  2. Open your published website. Click “Ask a question” and try a visitor conversation.
  3. Provide a test email address you control, then check the inquiry dashboard and the inquiry email.

If the snippet cannot be found, make sure your site is published, the code appears on your homepage, and any cache has been cleared. The check reads your homepage the way a search engine does, so it cannot see code that only appears after the page opens, such as code added through a tag manager. Paste the snippet straight into your site’s footer or custom-code field instead. If it still cannot be found, contact our team.

If replies fail, check your subscription and setup status in the dashboard. If an inquiry email is missing, the conversation remains in your dashboard with its delivery status.

Good to know.
